TRIPLEX MODEL SHOE
Using any shoe as a reference, I had to create a 1:1 3D model of the same shoe with nothing less and more of triplex board and glue. The first week I made a 1:1 scale of the real shoe, the second week I made a model of half the shoe with the same scale and on the last week I made a mold of the shoe.
Activity 1 : Full Model Shoe
Starting with three boards of triplex I used masking tape to help measure the bottom and all the sides of the shoe including the top. After measuring I placed the tape on top of the board and used a crafting knife to carefully cut the pieces. Once the cutting was done, I started working on the shoe from the bottom  and the sole to the top by cutting the inside of the board so it could bend into shape using adhesive and super glue to stick all the parts together. Once i was done with the whole shoe, the last thing i did was carefully add the zig zags at the bottom. This part was the hardest and eventually took the longest to complete.
Activity 2 : Section View / Half Shoe
Starting the same way I started the full shoe  only using 2 boards this time , I used masking tape to measure the parts of the real shoe. Then putting the tape on board I cut out the pieces .The pieces were then cut in half to get an exact measurement of half the shoe . I learned from my mistake from the first shoe and started with the zig zags at the bottom first then worked my way up . i also added more detail in the half shoe compared to the full one , there is more texture on the side and i made the laces neater , the zig zags look more accurate and round compared to the square of the zig zags in the full shoe .
Activity 3 :Tooling Block / Shoe Mold
The first thing I did like before was take masking tape to measure one side of the real shoe, I then put the tape on the board and cut out the piece , instead of using the cut out piece I used the board that was left behind with the hole . I then worked from the hole starting with the zig zags, after completing that I spent most of my time thinking and planning on what details to focus on , what extrudes and how much a certain detail extrudes . After completing the details and finished the shoe part , I cut out rectangles from the triplex and used glue to stick the pieces together to make a box around the shoe creating the mold . This project took the most triplex needing 4 boards.  I admit though it was the easiest to build it was the hardest to figure out and make work.
